 This course introduces concepts in human factors engineering and ergonomics. The topics that will be covered include: human factors and systems, human factors research methodologies, information input and processing, visual and auditory displays, human output and control, motor skills and hand tools, Anthropometry and workplace design, environmental conditions of illumination, and climate and noise.


The objectives are to provide students with a broad overview of the application areas and an appreciation of the need for human factors engineers.
