IEEE Reliability Society Scholarship awarded to ISE PhD student

Wu Yanping, an ISE PhD student, has been selected as a recipient of the IEEE Reliability Society Scholarship in June 2007. This award was recently launched by the IEEE Reliability Society and up to five US$2000 scholarships will be awarded each year to students who have demonstrated achievement in their studies and who have taken at least one course with reliability content. The competition for this scholarship this time was very strong, and the fact that Wu Yanping was chosen to receive a scholarship is a testimony to her outstanding scholastic achievements and her demonstrated interest in IEEE and reliability-related professional activities.

A graduate of the University of Science & Technology of China, Yanping joined the ISE Dept as a research scholar in 2004. Her research interests include software reliability and software process improvement. She has several journal and conference papers published or accepted for publication. She has also been actively involved in many IEEE activities, including as a student helper in IEEE conferences.
