IEEE's Engineering Management Educator of the Year Award to Professor Goh

Professor TN Goh has been named by the Board of Governors of IEEE Engineering Management Society the recipient of the 2004 IEEE EMS "Engineering Management Educator of the Year Award". The citation reads: "For leadership in the development of management educational programs and of research programs studying techniques for the training of management of product design and development." This Engineering Management Educator of the Year Award recognizes outstanding contributions to engineering management education. It is given to active or retired educator or education administrator in the field of Engineering Management or a closely related discipline. |
Professor TN Goh has more than three decades' track record in research and dissemination of information in the fields of Quality Engineering and Quality Management. He is an elected Academician of the International Academy for Quality, Fellow of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), Honorary Member of the Singapore Quality Institute, and a GE-certified Six Sigma educationalist. In addition to general quality practitioners, more than a thousand Six Sigma and DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) personnel in a wide spectrum of companies in Asia-Pacific countries have benefited from his expertise through short courses, formal training and consulting. Professor Goh will receive the award consists of a plaque and an honorarium of US$1,000 at the 2006 International Engineering Management Conference (EM-2006), in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. |
