  Teaching Excellence Award for Professor Lui Pao Chuen
   
 

Professor Lui PaoChuen of the ISE Department is the inaugural winner of the Teaching Excellence Award for Adjunct Staff in the Faculty of Engineering. He is currently the Chief Defence Scientist of Singapore He has been an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering since 1990.

The Award was introduced in 2001 by the Engineering Learning, Teaching and Education Committee (ELTEC) of the Faculty of Engineering to honour adjunct faculty members' important contribution to the engineering education. The criteria formulated for selecting the award winners include a consistently high student feedback score that are accompanied by excellent complimentary comments from both students and peers and the requirement that the adjunct faculty member teaches for at least 3 years to a sizeable group of students. Pao Chuen received the Award from the Dean of Engineering Professor Ng Wun Jern during the Annual Faculty Lunch held on 2 March 2002.
