The Asia Pacific Systems Engineering Conference was successfully held on 23 and 24 March 2007, in Singapore. The conference was co-organized by the Temasek Defense Systems Institute (TDSI) and the ISE Department with support from INCOSE (International Council on Systems Engineering). Mr TEO Chee Hean, Minister for Defence for Singapore was the Guest-of-Honour. The theme of the conference was "Systems Engineering - East meets West". It focused on different approaches to systems engineering and new product design and development in different organizational and national cultures. The conference attached more than 100 delegates from 14 countries from as far the United Kingdom , Norway , France , Iran , Israel and USA . The conference was attended by several ISE staff and graduate students who also presented their systems engineering related research. |
