History
The International Engineering Management Conference (IEMC) is
the annual conference of the IEEE Engineering Management Society
(EMS) which brings together engineering and management practitioners
and academics from all over the world. The conference is hosted
by a local EMS chapter each year. The venues for 2003, 2002
and 2000 are respectively Albany U.S.A., Cambridge U.K., Albuquerque
U.S.A. In 2004 the IEMC returns to Singapore, which played host
last in 1995. Traditionally IEMC is financially sponsored by
IEEE Engineering Management Society and its local chapter. Beginning
in Cambridge (UK), the IEE Management Professional Network has
become a collaborating partner and in IEMC 2004 IEE becomes
a financial co-sponsor for the first time. This underlines a
new phase in the history of IEMC.
Who should attend:
As the combined worldwide membership of IEEE and IEE exceeds
half a million and since many IEEE and IEE members are in senior
management positions, their ideas and actions are substantial
and influential. IEMC is a forum where their ideas can be heard.
Conversely, the latest theories and techniques, practices and
applications developed by academics and business experts will
find a valuable audience in IEMC. Hence IEMC should appeal to:
Engineers and Managers
Business and Management Consultants
Academics and Researchers
In the areas of:
Research and development
Innovation and technology management
Project and program management
Production and operation management
Logistics and supply chain management
Quality and reliability management
