George Nemhauser is Institute Professor and
A. Russell Chandler Chair in the School of Industrial and
Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
He is the current external examiner of the MSc (Industrial
and Systems Engineering) program of the Department of Industrial
and Systems Engineering at the National University of Singapore.
Professor Nemhauser's visit to NUS is for several purposes,
including a review of the MSc program, meeting with the
ISE staff for discussion on the Department's research and
teaching programs, and meeting with the Department's MSc,
MEng and Ph.D students and alumni. He also advises on a
broad range of issues pertaining to the mission and growth
strategies of the Department.
