The talk will cover various new media trends and demystify the industry value chain from SPARK’s ten years’ experience as the largest quoted European investor in the technology, media and telecom sectors. The online casual games will be used a specific case to discuss the continuous evolvement of digital media, revenue models and the challenges before the entrepreneurs and venture capitalists.

Lu Xiao-Sheng graduated from the University of Science and Technology in China in 1996 and completed his PhD at Dept of Industrial and Systems Engineering, National University of Singapore in 1999 at age of 23. He is currently with the New Media SPARK plc identifying investment opportunities in new media sectors in greater China. Prior to SPARK, Dr Lu had extensive experience in building hedge fund strategies for Man Investment Products, and technology entrepreneurship in financial analytics software and online games as the merchandise licensee for Vivendi Universal Games. Dr Lu is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
